Art & Philosophy Bunjin In Style Bonsai

"The dance of nature full of meaning,
Universe radiant smile stunned ...
When liukan passionate body,
Jalangku glance resist temptation ... "

So far, there is a misguided sense of style "Bunjin" in Bonsai. Some say Bunjin style is the style of "old old", Bonsai should be impressed skinny, tall, dark and miserable ... I do not understand, where the origin of these terms, may only own custom, though, this style is clearly referred to as "Bunjin" (Bh. Japan) or "Literati" (Bh. UK) which means "poet"; in bh. Mandarin is called "Wen-ren."

According to the book and the art of Bonsai Chinese literature, so palpable reviewed regarding the origin, the history of this style both in terms of culture and politics that affect it and its philosophical meaning.
As we know, the art of Bonsai originated in China and has developed more than 1300 years ago during the Tang Dynasty. At that time, very rapid development of art, whether painting, sculpture and calligraphy and literary knowledge is identical with positions in government.
Therefore, many emerging poets, writers and intellectuals who have important positions in the kingdom since the time the system is to recruit the state exam, and mastery of art and poetry is one aspect of criterion.

Simultaneously, the art of Bonsai (who was called Penjing) developed rapidly as an object of art in the kingdom and the elites.
Chinese Bonsai Art is inseparable from the influence of Chinese painting, poetry and traditional cultural arts including calligraphy art. From here then become one of the inspirations of the artists who gave birth Bonsai Bunjin style called "Shu hua shi penjing" by imitating the style, character and aesthetics of calligraphy which developed first, then later called also "Wen ren shu" or penjing poet style because who created it is the poet, not the style of such poets elderly poor who suffer!
Bunjin Bonsai is an art style that is full of cultural philosophy, literary lyrical romance, meaning intellectual; rich in lines and shapes that imaginative expressionist; so in a way-too appresiasinya require adequate levels of insight with reflection and interpretation, along with a contextual understanding of aesthetics.
Bunjin is a seminal work personal because it contains a very emotional artist meditative and contemplative. In this case, the object tree is just a medium for the artist to reflect ideas to be conveyed either implicitly or eksplicit.
In one of literature written by art Penjing Shao Hai Zhong, A Master Penjing in Shanghai, formulated some character and style Bonsai Bunjin criteria in accordance with Chinese calligraphy characters.

"Zhong wen xin ping"
Application of the concept of an asymmetrical but balanced composition with a solid foundation. In the art of Chinese calligraphy, although each individual line strokes could have been impressed by the anxiety that is not balanced, but the overall composition must still display a harmonious balance.
For example, the work of a maestro of Chinese calligraphy, Zhang Da-qianprecisely known for the character lines that are not balanced, but framed in a unique composition and character.
In this case, the size and shape of container planting to be one element composition of yan is very important in supporting the overall appearance of balance.

"Dou zheng zhong Qiu"
Application of the concept of visual balance (visual balance). Although trees are not straight vertical rhythm and full of dynamic movement and dramatic, but visually harmonious balance is very important. Each liukan must be balanced with a maneuver that produces a visual balance.

"Shang shu xia mi"
Bunjin is an art that imitates the style of Chinese calligraphy. Canopy structure, placement of branches and twigs and sticks should be impressive main line is sleek and elegant simplicity.
Bunjin must be able to reflect the feel of a lyrical, poetic and romantic.

"Shu mi de yu"
Heavy but not complicated. Alur branches and twigs should be clear and transparent. There term "Mi to yong zhen, ma pao xu to" that explains the concept of empty space. Structuring space in this style are very important and required a high flair in composition theory.

"Chan bian hua cha"
The flow, rhythm, bending, twist motion of the trunk, branches and twigs should be varied, dynamic and not monotonous, but it does not seem contradictory and chaos. In Bunjin style, the base line used could have been incorporated from several types of lines character (ump. an energetic zigzag line along with twisting maneuvers and on-linerelease with the pull of the graceful lines), but much needed expertise in the processing lines so that it is packed in a harmonization of the synchronous and synergistic.

"Qu rou zhi gang"
Strains of rhythm and movement should be soft, but scratches should be full of energy and power is like the motion of gymnastics "Taichi". The combination of firm strokes must be balanced with the attraction of flexible resulting in a synchronous energy balance and harmony. It can not be separated from the philosophy of "Yin & Yang" which prioritizes the universal equilibrium with the flow of "Qi" is perfect.
Therefore, there is a science in which the scratches and motion writing, character, emotion and health conditions a person can read.
From the discussion above, we Bunjin style should translate as "Style Calligraphy", and not the "old old"!
